October 2004 From now on AboveNet Communications GmbH works under the name upstreamNet Communications GmbH.
March 2004 In the course of restructuring the business domain of AboveNet Inc., the Austrian subsidiary is sold in a management buy-out. As managing partner, Andreas Welleditsch, former general manager of AboveNet Austria, adopts the management.
March 2000 Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN) acquires AboveNet Communications Inc. including all subsidiaries. In the course of this transaction, MFN gains the shares of Raiffeisen as part of the joint venture, and AboveNet Austria is fully incorporated in the corporate group.
March 1999 AboveNet Communications GmbH is founded as Austrian subsidiary of AboveNet Communications Inc., one of the world’s largest Internet network providers and operators of data centers. This foundation is carried out in a joint venture with Raiffeisen Rechenzentrum Ges.m.b.H.
